At Texas Crushed Base, we process some of the finest quality Recycled Crushed Concrete Base material in the Houston area. We strive hard to maintain a 3 to 5% active mix of “Live Cement” in our materials. The recycled concrete base material we process is a 1&1/2″ base material used to meet the demands of the high pressure loads of truck yards, container and pipe laydown yard facilities. The quality of the concrete base material is very dependent on the quality of the recycled material used. It helps the environment and makes for a great base material.
It is made from a variety of rock types, commonly granite, limestone or occasionally concrete rubble from building and paving demolition. It is used to protect coastlines and structures from erosion by the sea, rivers, or streams. It is used on any waterways or water containment where there is potential for water erosion.
At Texas Crushed Base, we have the ability to procure some of the finest Limestone aggregate and Limestone base materials for the Houston area. Limestone Aggregate is a clean, screened material ranging from 1/2 to 1&1/2″ in size. Our Limestone base material is a 1&1/2″ crushed base material used for the purpose of stabilizing surface area for roads, laydown pads or storage areas.
At Texas Crushed Base, we procure a high quality Crushed Asphalt base, that is 1/2″ minus in size. This material is a great option to use as a topping to a stabilized crushed concrete base pad for the purposes of having an alternative to asphalt paving.
At Texas Crushed Base, we have worked hard at finding our great states natural resources for decomposed granite. The Texas Hill Country has some of the finest quarries in the nation for Decomposed granite. Used for walk paths, landscaping areas, parking areas, and road-driveways, decomposed granite is very durable in the 1/2″ minus and 1″ minus sizes respectfully. This material can be topped to any crushed base material to give a very aesthetic and durable pad area.
Producing USGA sand and gravel to the Golf Course industry is a part of what we provide at Texas Crushed Base. We work hard to make sure our products meet the demand of the Golf Course Superintendents in the Houston area. San Jacinto White is one of our biggest sellers in the area. We apply a 2X screening process that really refines our materials for topdressing and golf course bunker use. Our gravel also matches specifications to our sands.
